Privacy notice

How we handle your details.

This page explains what this website collects, why, where it is kept and for how long, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Trans Asia Security Systems (Pvt) Ltd is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. Our office is at No. 12 Muhandiram Lane, Dehiwala, Sri Lanka. For anything in this notice, write to tag1@sltnet.lk.

What we collect, and why

The website only collects personal data when you choose to send it through one of two forms.

Site survey requests

Your name, phone number, email address, organisation, the sector you work in and what you need covered. We use this to respond to your request and, if you ask us to, to arrange a site visit and prepare a proposal.

Job applications

Your name, phone number, email address, the position you are applying for, your district, whether you have served in the armed forces or police, anything else you tell us, and your CV if you attach one. We use this to consider your application and to contact you about it.

Technical details on every submission

To stop automated abuse we also record the page the form was sent from, your browser’s user-agent string, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash is made with a secret key and truncated, so it cannot be turned back into your address; it lets us notice when one source floods the forms. We do not store your IP address itself.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Simply reading the site sends us nothing about you.

Our basis for using it

We process what you send because you have asked us to do something with it: answer an enquiry or consider you for a post. The anti-abuse details are processed in our legitimate interest in keeping the forms working for genuine visitors. Where consent is required, submitting the form is how you give it, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

Who sees it

Trans Asia staff who handle enquiries and recruitment. Every submission is stored in a private administration system that only logged-in staff can open, and an email copy is sent to our office mailbox so it is dealt with promptly. For job applications the CV travels with that email as an attachment.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it is kept

The website runs on infrastructure provided by specialist companies acting on our instructions. Some of it is outside Sri Lanka:

  • Vercel hosts the website and its private storage. Servers and file storage are in Singapore, with copies of public pages served from locations worldwide.
  • Neon provides the database, in Singapore.
  • Resend delivers the notification emails, from Japan.
  • Cloudflare manages the domain and runs a bot check when you submit a form. For that check it processes your IP address and browser signals on its own systems.

Each of these providers is bound by contract to protect the data and to use it only to provide the service to us.

How long we keep it

  • Site survey requests: up to two years after our last contact with you, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off.
  • Job applications and CVs: up to twelve months after we make a decision, so we can consider you for a later opening. If you join us, your application becomes part of your employment record.

You can ask us to delete either sooner. The technical details recorded to prevent abuse are deleted with the submission they belong to.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to stop using it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Write to tag1@sltnet.lk; we will reply within the time the Act allows and will not charge you for it. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.

Cookies

The public site sets no tracking cookies. Cloudflare’s bot check may set a short-lived cookie to remember that you passed it, and staff who log in to the administration system receive a session cookie. Neither is used to follow you around the web.

Children

This site and its forms are for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under eighteen; if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete them.

Changes to this notice
